Mayan Power and Light (MPL) promotes grassroots community development with social entrepreneurship and renewable,
technologies to fortify local economies with social and environmental impacts. MPL promotes gender equality with a focus on teaching Mayan women to create sustainable businesses through trainings, access and inclusion. MPL works with other established and ethical nonprofits that have deep knowledge of the communities they serve. Together they empower local populations to take control of their own destinies by fostering the conditions for self-agency.
