Standing With Our Partners

June 2026: VoteWise

In the face of the ongoing, unconscionable, dismantling of the Voting Rights Act we are continuing to stand up for voting rights and access in marginalized communities around the country. Our grantees are BIPOC led organizations driven by the needs of the communities in which they live and work.

2026 grantees already include our long time partners 1 Vote Counts (PA) and Instituto Lab (AZ), as well as new partners Mass Liberation Nevada, Oakland Forward (MI), Arizona Native Vote, and the Community Organizing Alliance (ME). Look for announcements of grants in Georgia, North Carolina, and other locations in the coming weeks.

We will be there for these impactful, boots on the ground organizations for the 2026 midterms, through 2028 and beyond!

Pennywise priorities

  • Zambia NetWorks Project

    Giving for Financial Independence

    We view giving as investing. We support projects that help break cycles of poverty and create opportunities that further financial security. This includes direct financial programming, like micro-lending, as well as longer-term strategies such as making environmental preservation efforts profitable.

    Giving for Waste Reduction

    We prioritize projects that reduce physical and/or economic waste. We are particularly excited about initiatives that gather products or materials that would otherwise be disposed of as garbage and recreate, refurbish or redistribute them so that they can fill an identified need.

    We believe in responses that increase efficiency and decrease costs in service provision. We support programming that meets critical needs while also generating financial savings for key stake holders.

    We appreciate the complexities of creating impactful programs in challenging political environments. We also understand that governments are uniquely situated to institutionalize services. We have a special interest in organizations that successfully navigate partnerships that intersect public and private sectors.

    We stand for the premise that small actors and actions can make big differences. We support small, grassroots organizations that leverage limited resources to have outsized impacts in marginalized communities around the world.

We invest in small, grassroots, predominantly BIPOC and youth led organizations. Our grantees are breaking destructive cycles, reducing waste, and reimagining how resources are used. We work with our partners to creatively generate sustainable solutions to today's most challenging issues.
