Our thoughts are with our friends at Agua Para La Vida (APLV) as we learn more each day about the violence erupting across Nicaragua. It is estimated that more than 60 people have died during the largest street protests the country has seen since the civil war ended in 1990. The political unrest has made travel difficult and is further isolating the country’s most underserved communities. While this crisis continues to unfold, we’ve been assured that the APLV staff is safe and that they are determined to move forward with their life saving clean water projects. We have been consistently impressed with APLV's approach, commitment, professionalism and their projects' positive impact on communities throughout the country. We will be offering additional support to them at this difficult time. We hope that you will too. Please also subscribe to our blog where we will provide additional information in the coming days about specific ways your pennies can be put to work in Nicaraguan communities.
